National Careers Week 2023

The week of 7-14 May has been proclaimed National Careers Week. This week is all about informing learners and students about various career options while also celebrating various professions.  During this time different organizations and government departments were encouraged to host a variety of activities, such as masterclasses on career development, workplace tours, job shadowing, and career expos.

The Services SETA had a variety of activities scheduled for the week. Kicking off the week, learners from local schools spent a day at our head office in Parktown. Here they learned more about various departments and the career opportunities available.

As the week went on, learners interested in the event and conferencing industry went to the Sandton Convention Centre where the Finance Magnets Africa Summit was taking place. They had the chance to interact with different exhibitors and have a look behind the scenes.

At Sgodiphola Secondary School in Cosmo City, Services SETA and Johannesburg Dream Center hosted a career exhibition day to end the week.
